New and Improved: Now with AI!

Every single app I've seen in the past year has shouted "Now with AI!"

But WHY?

AI is an incredible tool, but that’s all it is—a tool. If it solves a real problem for your users or your business, that’s awesome. But if it’s just slapped on? That’s just noise.

I was recently in a meeting where a founder exclaimed, "We need AI!"

My first thought: To do what?

Don’t get me wrong—I love innovation. I’ve been chasing the “new and shiny” since I got my first 10-speed bike! But there’s a difference between bolting on AI for a press release and truly using it to solve meaningful problems.

Here’s my take:

1️⃣ Generative AI and LLMs are big, no doubt.

2️⃣ But they don’t change the fundamentals of business—at least, not yet.

3️⃣ Want to stand out? Stop thinking about how to “bolt it on” and start imagining the problems you couldn’t solve before.

AI isn’t the magic bullet—it’s a means to an end. Let’s focus on creating solutions that matter.
