Nothing feels real anymore.

So here’s an email I got earlier this week. In it, the person claims that their boss saw one of my posts and was impressed and wanted them to reach out to me about lead generation. Here’s the thing. I don’t know if A) the boss really exists, B) if the person emailing me really exists, C) even if they both exist, if anyone really read that post, or D) all of this was done by an AI to make it APPEAR genuine and engaging. This email could be totally what it says it is. But for some reason I question every single part of it.

I expect this trend to continue and accelerate. If a little counterfeit connection doesn’t do the job, then flood the world with it. It’s the new spam. Email became cheap and the world got flooded with low value information. This is the same thing, but a little harder to detect.

I’m concerned with what this will do to us as humans.
