Okay is not okay with me

Like anyone who’s on linked in these days, I’ve been toying with AI to help with content. I even had it generate an April fools post for me. It was cute, something about creating a AI-CEO based on cat videos. I’ve even attached the image it created for me.

What it created was “okay.” And I think that’s one of the problems with current AI content generation. It helps us create a lot of “okay” content. Now, I’m okay with okay sometimes, if okay meets the needs for average problems.

For example, I work from home, so I don’t drive a lot. My wife drives the “good” car and I’m okay with an okay car (I drive my daughter’s old 2008 VW Jetta). The truth of the matter is trying for excellence in every aspect of life is exhausting and actually counterproductive. We’re all limited and therefore should prioritize what we put our energy into.

But when it comes to content, I really want something better than okay, especially when the environment is flooded with “okay.” I don’t want to hear a rehash of what everyone else is thinking.  I want something that makes me think, or laugh, or best of both worlds: both.

to that end, I hope your day is full of very funny, very insightful April’s fools jokes.

(But this isn’t one of them)
